I get many emails of people asking me “How can I make money on Twitter?” Well, there ARE ways, but you need to know what you’re doing. I have read lots of reports and guides on this topic and only a few of them are really useful.
One of them is The Twitter Cash Engine Kit. All the things you need to know are outlined in a step-by-step guide:
Tips and tools for earning cash from Twitter
7 five-minute tricks to Twitter moneymaking magic
Advanced steps for earning from Twitter
Instant following tools and other top twitter tools
I can personally recommend this guide and I suggest you get it NOW, because I can offer you an exclusive coupon code! You just have to retweet a message on your twitter account and you’ll get the special coupon code.
There are times when you quickly wanna share a mp3 with your followers on twitter, especially when you are a musician (which I happen to be one).
Now there is a really simple way to do this by using a new service called MP3 Twit. Sharing a song just takes 3 steps:
1) Log in with your twitter account details, no need to create an additional account
2) Upload the mp3
3) Share it with your followers
MP3 Twit provides a good player and statistics on the number of plays and downloads (you can choose to make your mp3 downloadable). If you wanna see a live example, take a look at the song “e=mc2″ by my band Fiago.
I just came back home from my journey to Iceland (great country!) and discovered that FlashTweet changed to a new service which costs $6.95 a month. You’ll get an initial trial period of 14 days, which is pretty fair.
I immediately signed up and my first tests have pleased me. Here are the features you’ll get with a subscription:
1) Follower Management
Automatically unfollow the people who don’t follow you. Similar to Twitter Karma, but seems to be more stable.
2) Mass Follow
This feature lets you follow other people talking about a certain keyword. Or you can mass follow the followers of a certain person. This is the core function of FlashTweet and it’s working great. Just be sure to not overdo it or you risk to get banned from Twitter.
3) Scheduling Tweets
You can predefine tweets and FlashTweet will post them automatically for you at a certain time and date.
4) Tweeting RSS Feeds
FlashTweet allows up to 3 different RSS feeds per account, which will post a maximum of twelve tweets each for every 24 hour period.
Looks like FlashTweet gives solutions to all your needs in one place. Plus, you can add multiple profiles and manage them all of them with one subscription.
Have you tried FlashTweet and got something to say about it? Please do so in the comments.
Maybe you know this scenario: you are doing a search on twitter and the results give you lots of interesting people to follow. You could go to their profiles one by one and manually follow them, but this would take just too long. I always thought that there must be an automated way to do this.
Finally, the guys at FlashTweet added this very nice feature to their already outstanding tool. You can put in a search term and instantly follow all the people talking about your keyword. Think about it for a moment, there’s huge potential in this!
Of course, you can still use their basic feature, which allows you to bulk follow other twitter users by specifying the username whose followers you want to follow.
But be warned, Twitter seems to crack down on mass followers more often lately. Don’t overuse this service or risk to get your account suspended.
Do you know of any other services that provide mass following by keyword? Post a comment.
Ever tried to republish a tweet and wondered if you are allowed to do this? In their terms, Twitter states that they make no intellectual claims over your tweets. All rights belong to the tweeter, so it’s not clear if you can use a tweet without permission.
tweetCC has a very easy and elegant solution. You can license your tweets under a creative commons public domain dedication with just one click. Anyone wanting to reproduce tweets can then do so without asking you. You can also choose one of the other creative commons licenses available.
This is an interesting project by Andy Clarke and Brian Suda. Anyone of you already licensed their tweets?
This is a little trick to find easy followers on twitter. Go to Google and enter this search term: site:twitter.com -m -explore I will follow you back
This will give you a list of twitter profiles of people who are very likely to follow you back instantly. Just go through the list and follow each of them. Here’s a direct link to the Google results page.
I just had some emails in my inbox telling me that a new product was launched, the Twitter Online System by Alvin Phang. The sales page looked good, so I bought the product to get an opinion and give you guys a review.
The product currently sells at $27 plus $9/month recurring fee (the price will go up the next weeks). For that money you get 8 videos and access to a “VIP”-section containing some tools.
The Videos
Here’s an overview of what the 8 videos are about:
Set up your twitter account
Set up a clickbank affiliate account
Set up Tweetlater
Generate content automatically using twitterfeed
Automatically follow people using Twollo
Find people using the twitter search
Using TweetDeck
Use MrTweet and Twuffer to schedule Tweets
That’s basically all there is. There are no secrets revealed, but the content is solid. For someone new to twitter, the videos will definitely be helpful. But you can get the same info for free by downloading my twitter traffic blueprint.
What annoys me, is the fact that the product is aimed mainly at promoting itself! Alvin Phang asks you to become a clickbank affiliate and promote his product. Maybe you can make some money doing this, but i think it’s too flashy and there are lots of other ways to monetize your profile.
The Tools
In addition to the videos you get access to a “VIP” section and to some “tools”. The tools are kind of disappointing, they are nothing more than links to these websites
There’s only one genuine tool called Atomic Twitter. This is kind of a pyramid following system, where you follow ten people and hope to get followed by many more people in return. There are several other of this systems and most of them are free. So I really don’t see why i should pay a monthly fee for these “tools”.
Recap
Alvin did a good job making the sales page and promoting his product and he provides some good content for the newbie. But the recurring fee of $9/month is way too much for the “tools”. I rate the twitter online systems 2 out of 5 stars.

As described in my twitter traffic blueprint, you often need to unfollow people who didn’t follow you back. Most of us used Twitter Karma for the task of unfollowing lots of people at once. It still is a good service but got less reliable lately. Several users reported bugs and errors, so I went out to look for an alternative.
A nice bonus feature is the exclude list, which lets you define a set of people you don’t wanna unfollow.
I tested huitter mutuality twice and I’m very pleased with the results. Do you have any other bulk unfollow sites or tools you wanna share? Please post a comment.
Twitter is getting faster and faster! The moment I’m writing this, it raves at exactly 11,648 tweets per minute. Have a look at www.tweespeed.com to get the current speed of twitter.
The speedometer is based on the public timeline, it grabs information from the last 5 minutes and calculates an average speed for one minute. Right now it ends at 20,000 tweets per minute, but I guess they will have to raise that limit soon…
